I'm looking for suggestions on ways to improve BlogWatcher. Things that would give it more general appeal.
I already know one thing: an ability to show at least a count of the comments associated with an entry. I'm not sure that I'm able to do that, but I know that it's something people would want.
Anything else? Make any suggestion, no matter how "practical" it sounds.
Also: how would people feel about ads in the output? Wendy has already told me she hates the idea. Anybody else want to chime in?

I've been playing around with the test release of GeekLog 1.4, and I have to say that I'm pleased with what I've seen so far. I've only encountered two minor bugs so far, both of which I've been able to fix myself. That's not bad at all, considering all of the new functionality that's been added
The most significant changes (from my perspective):

I've created this topic (and a corresponding news feed) for people who use BlogWatcher. As I make changes to the application, I'll post them here. I'm also going to auto-subscribe all of my current subscribers, but you can remove the subscription if you want to.

At the Jesus the Radical Pastor blog, John Frye has some interesting thoughts on the 'conflict' between story and science. It's not anything that Wendy hasn't been saying for a while, but it's nice to see somebody else with similar thoughts.

It's been suggested here that C.S. Lewis would be upset that Narnia is being made into a live-action movie. I respectfully disagree.

I've decided to start following a "Bible in a Year" blog/mailing list that will start up in January. Anyone care to join me?
I've done a Bible in a year program before, but it ended up being more like a race or a competition. Yes, I read it, but I didn't study it or even think about what I was reading. I hope to do better with this one. I plan on posting comments here, and anyone else is welcome to do the same.

An article in the Washington Post talks about the Pentagon looking to expand the "communication" between themselves and other agencies (FBI, CIA, etc). This really worries me.

My curent "project" is a web-based RSS aggregator called BlogWatcher. It's only real claim to fame is that makes an attempt to merge multiple feeds from a variety of sources into on single data stream, sorted by the posting date.
Check it out and let me know what you think.
